In the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, Ronaldo scored the only goal of the match with a stunning long-range strike from about 40 yards out. The ball rocketed into the top corner, leaving the Porto goalkeeper with no chance. This goal not only secured Manchester Uniteds place in the semi-finals but also earned Ronaldo the inaugural FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal of the year. Ronaldo himself has described this goal as one of the best of his career.
