Oasis was born in the heart of Manchester in 1991, rising from the ashes of a local band called The Rain. Originally composed of Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass), Tony McCarroll (drums), and Chris Hutton (vocals), the band found its true spark when Liam Gallagher took over as lead singer. Soon after, Liam’s older brother, Noel Gallagher, joined the group, bringing his visionary songwriting and ambition to the lineup.
The release of their debut single, Supersonic, in 1994, marked the beginning of their meteoric rise, leading to the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Definitely Maybe, later that year.
